About me and HunnysStudio!

Hello, this is me, my name is Imogen. I design and make everything myself!

This is my studio where everything is made in a corner of my room.

This is my rabbit Hunny, my shop is named after her! She is a mini lop.

My story:

Hello, welcome to HunnysStudio, my name is Imogen, I am 20 and from Hampshire in England. Here is my story:

In lockdown I discovered creative journaling, I loved using cute stickers and stationery! At the end of 2020 I was diagnosed with anorexia nervosa, I was told I was too ill to continue going to school. So to keep myself busy I began designing my own stickers and on the 1st March 2021 I opened my shop, HunnysStudio, on Etsy. It was a great distraction during a really tough time.

I carried on working on my shop, I was allowed to go to college and I studied fashion textiles and graphic design. In March 2023 I was admitted to the Psych ward for my eating disorder as I was struggling a lot at home. I had to temporarily close my shop but I carried on studying for my A-Levels. I did all my course work in the unit and was allowed two nights leave to go back to college to sit my exams. I left the psych ward and got two A* in my A-levels

Once discharged I carried on growing my shop slowly and working on new products. I then had a second psych admission at the start of 2024. In September I started Uni, studying Illustration and I hated it! Two months into my course I was taken to hospital by ambulance as my eating disorder was so bad and my physical health was at risk.

I spent two weeks in the general hospital being tube fed via NG and then in the December I was moved to my third psych ward. I was tube fed under restraint everyday. I began eating and the tube was taken out, I was finally allowed home leave so I decided to reopen my shop. During the week I would pack orders and when I went home at weekends I could restock, I was allowed on walks to go to the post office. I began filming vlogs about being a small business owner in the psych ward, some of my videos went viral. I then launched my first collection of mental health stickers. I wanted to help other people and show others that they aren't alone. During this admission I was also diagnosed with EUPD. I carried on working hard and after 6 months I was discharged from the psych ward, and was finally free!

I am now living at home with my family, cat and bunnies, trying my best to avoid hospital and working on my shop everyday. My shop brings me so much joy and gives me a purpose. I want to be able to help others with my art and story and show people that there is hope and to not give up!

Lots of love Immy xxx
